-Youth leadership conference through the Rotary organization. One week program designed to foster more responsible and effective leadership skills. Included some of the top students from across the state and several well-recognized speakers encouraging character and good service. Still involved with rotary and follow-up activities relating to the conference. </p>
<p>-Participating in University of Iowa Mini-Medical School program in summer of 2012
-Gives students a look at medical research and development. Topics include: breakthroughs in Cancer research, specific disease treatment and research (ex. Cystic Fibrosis and Stem Cell Research), molecular genetics, etc. Discussions with respected doctors and the Dean of Medicine at the University are also available.</p>
