I noticed somebody pulled the band aid off and went first the year my daughter was applying, so I guess I’ll go this time.
Stats: In-state, 4.0 unweighted, 1540 SAT, 26 DE credits to date, taking 19 more this year + AP Calc. Lots of leadership, 4 Varsity sports, some volunteering that ties into engineering(but probably his weakest point).
He is looking at the Applied Sciences Engineering. I am curious if anyone here has any experience with the new engineering program in the Applied Sciences school? Engineering is his current intended major and all signs point to NC State as the right choice, but his sibling goes to UNC and it’s not off the table for him yet. Were he to get in and choose UNC, he would try for a double major in business, engineering or engineering major with business minor. And we are PUMPED about the earlier EA in-state decision date that crapshooter posted. Would love for NC State to follow suit. Good luck to all!
