Absolutely nothing I have seen change since submission besides a small change about FAFSA being delayed.
My sonās CSS profile was pulled in and noted as being submitted a couple weeks ago. Nothing other than that

Where did you see this? Weāve seen no changes since the application was submitted, but maybe weāre looking in the wrong spot.
Itās on the Application Status page, scroll down to Financial Aid. Underneath that is the information about FAFSA not being received until after Jan 31 and then the info on the CSS profile being submitted.

wait, did we have to do CSS before being accepted?!?
No. He got an email a while back that b/c of the FAFSA issues they wanted the CSS done in order to be considered for some scholarships. He had to do it for another school as well, so not a biggie.

great thanks! we wonāt qualify for aid so I didnāt want to spend the money to submit it to schools unless she got accepted.
When was/is the CSS profile due for scholarship consideration? I completed the CSS but didnāt add UNC to the list of schools because I thought I read on their website it wasnāt due in March 1st (and with oos acceptance rates so low, I didnāt want to add until after the Jan 31 decisions were released).

There is not an earlier date for general scholarship consideration, I believe that student was contacted directly and asked.

Correct. He received an email from the scholarship office early December that some scholarships are tied to financial need, and suggested he complete the CSS profile. It seemed like a generic email, but since he did it for another school he also submitted to UNC.
We are not having a Purdue situation here, lol.
Not yet at least. But the more detailed portals tend to have more clues. UNC portal is not very detailed only one page!

There was a lot of speculation (that turned out to be true) about what certain changes in the portal meant pre decision release.

Purdue slipped up and let the cat out of the bag to some extent with turning certain items on in the portal a couple of days early. Both Ae1231 and my kid knew they were getting in because they could see certain letters/tabs. Other students could see a letter of continued interest in their tabs that likely meant they were getting deferred. It was a little crazy on that thread for the past few days.

Wisconsin thread is going crazy with these too. I cannot keep up and do not have access to my sonās portal. So I guess I must just wait until the date with the rest of the general population!!

Both my husband and I received notifications that people from UNC were looking at our LinkedIn profiles. Has this happened to anyone else? This appears to be the only school she applied to that has done this. Thoughts on what it means?
We noticed this as well on LinkedIn. Someone from UNC CH viewed our profiles. I know some schools have a social media vetting process for applicants but Iām a little surprised it is extended to parents in this case. Iām guessing part of it could be to gauge potential future donations?
Interesting. I donāt have a LinkedIn, nor does my husband. I guess they could look at our pages at work. Is there a way for them to see a studentās page on social media if itās private?
