I tried going to the facebook group but when I searched it, nothing came up. I have a question about financial aid. I can view my award package but it says estimate. I was very late to submit the forms because I didn’t think I was going. Can anyone tell me how accurate the estimates are? It says that I will only be able to select and view aid years which include a completed financial aid package and yet I have a financial aid thing on my To Do List saying they need the dependent worksheet. I sent that in at 11:30pm this past Friday.
I’m still in shock that I was accepted. I got a 21 on my ACT, didn’t take the SAT’s, had no extra curricular activities/work, and have a 3.46GPA at my CC. I knew my essay was great but I didn’t think it was THAT great. I’m also going to Computer Science. Hopefully I won’t kill myself from the amount of work.
Hey guys I was Waitlisted, I want to send the admissions a letter than shows I’m still interested and want to shed some light on the weaker parts of my application.
Can anyone shed insight on what was weak about my stats so I could try to compensate for it in my letter?

I was pretty disappointed as i really wanted to be part of UNC community, any criticism on weak parts of my application would be appreciated!
@Lionstransfer3 My best guess would be your essays and your letters of rec. It seems like there wasn’t much emphasis on ACT/SAT scores, especially for juniors. Also, I would hone in on a few leadership roles in prominent EC’s/work. I think they’re more interested in someone who shows passion for a few things, rather than stretching themselves thin. Just my two cents.

Congrats to all of those who have been accepted! Fortunately/Unfortunately (I really don’t know how to view it) my application is one of those that is still under review. Hopefully I will find out soon!
I am from California. I was just recently accepted to UNC! I am visiting the campus tomorrow. I’ve never been to North Carolina in my life. Congrats to everyone who has been admitted. And p.s. - I didn’t get any financial aid unfortunately.
