@Arienrod @zn1107 Not yet. I’ve checked ConnectCarolina multiple times and it shows that I have no outstanding items. Hopefully we will get our decision tonight.
@puhrmach definitely call or email the admissions office and ask if they need anything. Offer more information, remind them you exist.
Does anyone know how I would go about switching my major? I was accepted into poli sci, but I want to switch to econ and eventually try to get into Kenan Flagler.
Any ideas how the transfer credit process works? I’m hoping most of my credits transfer, I really don’t want to take an extra undergrad year.
@NCXfer the only way is to go talk to an advisor. They can officially switch your major. Look at the Kenan internal acceptance stats before trying to get in. You might want to spare yourself the trouble, major in poli sci and minor in econ with Kenan, they accept like 80% of minor requests.
@llmercll depends on where you’re coming from - another 4-year or a community college, and in- or out-of-state. There’s a very accommodating agreement between Carolina and NC comm colleges. Beyond that, you’ll need to be more specific.

@Arienrod Just called the admissions office today and they said they were still reviewing my application. I don’t know whether this is good or bad, but I hope I get a decision soon!

Speaking of housing I got an envelope from Granville Towers today in the mail. Is that a good option?
IS anyone living off campus next year?
@NCXfer from what I’ve heard Granville Towers are close to a lot of frat houses and isn’t recommended for Junior transfers.

Hey guys, it was a pleasure being accepted into UNC and conversing with you over the last few months. The college decision I made was a very difficult one, however I chose to attend Purdue University. I hope only the best for you all, and for those on the wait list I hope my differing gets you in very soon. Maybe I’ll see you all in grad school.
