UNC Chapel Hill vs University of Pittsburgh for Pre-Med (Which is Tougher?)

I know that the pre-medical curriculum is very tough regardless of the school that I go to but between the two schools in the header (UNC vs Pitt) which is the tougher school to get good grades? I have heard that the chemistry department at UNC is one of the most deflated departments in the school. I haven’t heard much about Pitt but I have also heard that the biology classes at Pitt are designed to be “weeder” classes. I know that I have to put in a lot of work but which school has the better professors and the not as tough pre-med classes?

Both are large universities with lots of premeds. You’ll have a lecturer +TAs at both. Both will have large lectures for freshmen and sophomores designed to weed out about half of them.
In terms of real differences, the only ones are 1° UNC-CH degree if you don’t make it = more prestigious, 2° Pitt is in a city vs. UNC CH is in a college town (both have their advantages), 3° UNC-Ch has a warmer climate but from April till September-october it’ll be very very hot and muggy. On the other hand, at Pitt it’ll be cold and snowy from December till March.

How much does each cost before loans?
Your #1 goal as a premed should be to decrease debt.
