I'm quite proud of them. I have a friend who works in the UCLA admissions department and called them, "creative, inspiring, and superbly written."

Applying as a journalism major.

Parasail, the SAT score and GPA will really hurt, especially the GPA. UNC out of state is practically ivy league level in terms of difficulty. Maybe 20 or 30 percent chance because of the good ECs.

i would say more like a 24% chance because of your low gpa and SATs...UNC like tenacious said, is very hard to get into out of state...

i applied there EA, my stats in a shell were: 1370 SAT, 3.83 weighted gpa, which will be a 3.91 which i will send for midterm grades.....because we have the trimester system...

good luck!

I failed to mention that A) we are private and don't rank (class size of almost 100) and B) will complete 3 AP's by the time i graduate including AP Bio which i took junior year (normally taken senior yr, at my school at least). I also took many honors and accel. courses, pretty difficult course load in general...hope this helps you in deciding my chances Thanks, Stephanie
