Can somebody who knows these schools well just provide a sentence or two, to clarify the differences? On paper they look very similar: only about 40 minutes apart, similar SATs for the incoming freshmen, both in the general range of 20,000 undergrads, both described as residential campuses. UNC is a little smaller, with SATs a little higher, and the setting is considered suburban. Are there marked differences (for those who have no particular emotional connection or loyalty to either school?)
