I haven’t posted here but I’ve watched this entire thread. You guys are hilarious and have made this process amusing, although I am extremely nervous just like the rest of you! I had my hopes high for Thursday and today but since they kept extending the deadline for applicants I think it may be another week. Good luck everyone!!

they extended the deadline for applicants last year, as well. their decisions were released on friday, april 6. we shoulda had them today 
im still checking mycarolina intermittently but i guess im sorta thankful that i can enjoy my weekend without a decision.

Hello everyone!!! I just wanted to stop in and say that I am freaking the hell out because the email we all got earlier this week and I have actually been checking myCarolina like a crazy addict for the past week. I feel like they may come out later tonight and am going nuts!!!
I’m almost certain that we will get them on Friday of next week. I’m gonna try to detach from this heartache and wish everyone good luck on their decisions! Finals are soon, so I’ll be focusing on that realm. Good luck, ya’ll!

There’s no way we’re getting them THAT long after the email, I will be here as per usual complaining about the wait, see you all here on monday around noon time
honestly will show up to jackson hall if we dont have our decisions by 5 pm monday
What’s everyones transferring GPA?
I got a 4.0 last semester and it’s looking like another 4.0 this semester. But I’m a freshman currently so it probably doesn’t have a lot of weight for me like it would an incoming junior.
4.0 GPA transferring around 64 credits, two undergraduate research projects. One in Austin tx and the other in Phoenix AZ. Around 4-6 honors courses. Transferring in for CompSci
in last year’s thread there were kids with 4.0’s who were denied and people with 3.4’s who got in. i don’t think gpa is a good determining factor at all
Do you know what college the person with the 3.4 gpa went to?
@girlypop13 I agree! i looked at the past threads and saw that too. GPA matters but I feel like they look at what else you did in college and also recommendations and your essays. But that’s what I think… I could be completely wrong!
like i dont mean to undermine anyones accomplishments at all so im sorry if i came off that way. a 4.0 is amazing, be proud of that! i just think its important to remember that this is an incredibly holistic process, admission will be determined by a ton of factors other than just gpa
unfortunately i have no idea @bmcfmm246 it seemed there were a good amount of people with 3.4-3.6 who got in last year. i would read the unc 2018 transfer thread on here as well as the reddit threads if you want to get a better idea 
when I spoke with admissions before applying they emphasized that if you are applying to transfer as a current freshman, there is a greater weight placed on your high school records
