Hiiiii! My daughter applied to UNCW back in October. We are from VA and she fell in love with the campus! She is going to be an English major with a minor in Creative Writing. She has already received acceptance letters from other colleges that said their decisions would be sent out in January for Early Action. Is there a chance she will here from UNCW before January too?
I was wondering the same thing so i looked at last year’s thread and someone had collected and posted history from past threads
| Fall of Year | EA Decision Release Date | Day of Week | Time (Eastern) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 1/12/2024 | Friday | 4pm |
| 2023 | 1/12/2023 | Thursday | 4pm? |
| 2022 | 1/6/2022 | Thursday | morning |
| 2021 | 12/7/2020 | Monday | evening |
| 2020 | 12/4/2019 | Wednesday | morning |
for 2025 some started hearing on Thursday 1/16/25, so if that holds true then maybe Thurs 1/15/26
Thank you for the information! My daughter checks her portal every day! lol This is her first choice.
D24 is at UNCW now and I remember that it was the very last college to give her an EA decision. I am really glad it worked out because there is a lot to like about UNCW! S26 has also applied EA and waiting for decision. Looks like this might be his last EA college to give a decision also.
My daughter’s birthday is on January 16th so it would be a GREAT birthday present for her to get accepted!!! lol
Does your daughter love it? What is she majoring in? And your son?
D24 is a business admin major and loves UNCW. There are many advantages compared to some of the other colleges. All students (even 1st year) can bring a car with reasonable parking setup and price, 2 years of on-campus housing guaranteed (with on-campus apartments available for sophomores), roughly half the students compared to UNCCH and NC State, etc.
That said, S26 had a 1st choice of UNC Chapel Hill due to location and Radiologic Science major availability (UNCW does not offer). He got an early xmas present yesterday and was admitted to UNC, so he will most likely attend there.
Congratulations to your son!!! That is awesome! We did a campus tour at UNCW and she fell in love. She is majoring in English, minoring in Creative Writing. We found out from one of the students that was our tour guide that they have publisher on site that helps the students.
