UNCC Admissions Decisions?

Since there has been little to no posts on this thread recently or in total, I thought I would share an excerpt from an email sent to us by UNCC Admissions when we inquired about EA decisions being released…

“…All students whose application processes were complete by November 1 are guaranteed to be notified of their application decision by our January 30th notification date. Our admission decisions are not necessarily made in chronological order. We focus first on rendering decisions for students who have secondary processes to complete for their major or special program – honors program applications, auditions, portfolios, interviews, etc. After those decisions, we release decisions in no particular order. Ultimately, the timing of you receiving your admissions decision is not an indication of the decision itself…” @sm1213

Thank you pama3115. I was to the point that I am just waiting for a rejection. Trying to be positive is not one of my strong points.

No just two emails updating my scholarship profile, just more junk email. How about you?

@SM1213. Yes, spoke to admissions on Friday. They said they are only updating portals prior to snail mail reaching us if they believe the acceptance package or decision wont reach an EA applicant before the 30th. They have been working on decisions for those applicants that required secondary info such as portfolios for architecture or other art related majors, and others. Record number of applications this year. They are confident all EA decisions will reach us on or before the 30th. The admissions person was very nice and helpful. Basically, no need to keep checking portal because mail should reach us first. Feeling confident and hope all the best for you too.

Looks like there are 2 dates. Apply by 11/1 - decision by 1/30; apply by 2/1- decision by 4/1; after 2/1 rolling - after 4/1 rolling

We went on a tour of the school this weekend and they told us that they got 30% increase in applications making it much more competitive to get accepted. The admissions person said we would hear decision at the end of March through beginning of April.

Our application got in late so now I’m wondering if chances are bad due to the high number of applicants. I think it was officially completed at the end of February so I don’t even think they will review the app until after May 1st. Waiting stinks

I applied Janurary 27 and my application was decisioned february 9. haven’t gotten the decision in the mail yet

My son had everything in by 12/2. We haven’t heard anything yet.

@adunphy hang in there. UNCC was one of the first colleges my daughter applied and was the last one that she heard back from. She applied on 9/10 and didn’t hear back until early January. Good luck to your son.

Our son had everything in on 11/15. Of those he applied to UNCC is the only one we have not heard from yet. Hoping we hear something before April. Fingers crossed!
