Uncertain about application

I applied to the University of Michigan in high school, wanted to go very much, but was not offered a spot in the fall of 2014.

I am currently at another university, commute every day, and do not like it at all. My grades are definitely not as high as I had wanted them to be, and I’m not very confident I’ll be able to make Dean’s List.

Should I still try to apply? I will only have 15 credits completed with 15 pending.

What do you have to lose by applying?

I would definitely take a chance and apply! Like entenduintransit said, you don’t have anything to lose.

If you’re unhappy where you are, it will be much harder for you to achieve at a high level. Michigan, while it puts a huge emphasis on grades and the like, also focuses on heart and personality. Write strong, compelling essays that showcase how much you want to be a Wolverine and why.
