I submitted my Harvard application and supplement two days ago, before the December 1st priority deadline. As I was reviewing the information, I noticed that some of the information might come off as unclear to the admissions officers who do not fully understand the meanings behind my extracurricular activities.

I attending a social justice seminar in 11th grade and learned about the genocide in Darfur. I also attended a youth leadership conference that focused heavily on learning how to raise funds and awareness to stop social justice violations. Both the seminar and the conference were in 11th grade, in Washington DC, and about raising awareness. They were a month apart. Afterwards, I went home and raised funds to end the genocide in Darfur by selling bracelets and donating the profits. The problem is, i said that I raised funds after both the seminar and the conference. This might be unclear to the officers reading my application who are unable to differentiate between the social justice seminar and the youth leadership conference.

I don’t want them to think I was lying about attending the seminar, conference, or raising the funds. Should I send an email to Harvard admissions, or just let it go because an email might “muddy” up my application and make things worse?
