As of right now, I’m still undecided on the major that I’ll choose for the regular decision application. I am deciding between Biology or an engineering major. I want to go to medical school but I still have a slight interest in engineering (although I haven’t taken a Physics class since my freshman year and I got a B in the class). Can I possibly succeed in an engineering program with practically no memory of physics? Should I take the safe route and choose something along the lines of biology or chemistry? Thanks in advance!

My son, currently finishing up his Junior year in Aerospace Engineering, had Physics his sophomore year in High School and was concerned that he was a little rusty in terms of his ability to hit the ground running in the regular Physics sequence. As an accepted incoming freshman, everyone has to take placement tests in a variety of subject areas. Even though he did fine on his Physics placement, he felt that Physics 100 would be a great refresher, and ideal for making the sometimes difficult transition to college from high school. It worked out well, and he finished the required University Physics sequence with nothing less than a B+. Professor Gladding was his instructor and I highly recommend him, if available. I’m including a link to the course below, which includes a brief description.
