Undeclared Major

Hi, I’m an international student admitted to Marshall College with Undeclared major.
I want to learn about how to apply for a specific major when I find a field that fits me?
Good GE credits or something else needed?

Also, I understand that students in UCSD take class-fewer than 20 people? Does this kind of small class benefit students’ GPAs and friendship?

ThanKs.

It always amuses me that people manage to find CC forums but somehow can’t find the pertinent school website:

[How to Declare or Change a Major (Undergraduates)](http://www.ucsd.edu/current-students/academics/majors-minors/declare-or-change-a-major.html)

Astrinia,thanks a lot.
UCSD‘s bioengineering fascinates me most.But i haven’t decided yet.
Is it tough to get into this major at the end of freshman year?I was informed that this major is really competitive…

it’s an impacted major. chances aren’t good.

for more info, read up on impacted majors either from this forum or by googling ucsd sites.
