i got into ucsd undeclared physical science and i was just wondering how hard it is to get the major that I want (some kind of engineering or bio).

Also are undeclared students at a disadvantage when it comes to the taking classes? do the students with declared majors get first dibs or is everyone on the same page?

same page G.E classes. MOST OF YOUR Lower division classes you should have no problem getting into. classes at specific colleges such as jacobs engineering give first dibs to declared majors.

also how hard is it to get good grades at ucsd compared to like ucdavis.
SLIGHTLY harder...depending on class. nobody can tell you the real answer cuz unless you have a UCD>UCSD transfer or UCSD>UCD transfer nobody really knows. i'm sure a lot of classes are on a curve so you can expect top 10% to get A's.

does the fact that there are smarter people at ucsd make it harder to get good grades or does that not matter at all?
yes...if the classes are graded on a curve. top 10% will get the A's....
