Undergrad Architectural Engineering

Hello All,

I am a high school student and looking at arch eng as a future career. However I have few queries to make.

1.I’ve read that this job is not widely recognized henceforth is it worth going into such a career ? Does it have any scope of progressing in the future or is it similar to the job of a structural engineer.
2. Is it better to do it from the US or UK as UK offers civil and arch eng course while US only has arch eng course?
3.Are the job prospects good?
4.In a Uk curriculum school in year 13 do I need to take chemistry since i’ve done the core principles and applications in yr 12 chemistry?

Information about this course is highly appreciated from lecturers , undergrads , senior college students or anyone in this profession

Here’s a link to the department at our state flagship. Claims there are only 17 accredited Architectural Engineering programs in the US.
