Undergrad Teaching Assistant @ UT Austin for Resident Tuition Waiver

how easy is it to become a research/teaching assistant during undergrad at ut austin? i found on this site that it can qualify me for a resident tuition as an oos student, does anyone have experience with this or know about the ta process at ut austin?

I would reach out to your admissions officer and ask this question. My sense is most of those jobs are highly competitive and go to grad students. Not to mention, a minimum of 20 hours to work each week during the school year is a lot, and could impact your academics as well as social life.

I have no direct knowledge but when considering your budget, a TA position is not something you can count on getting.
