undergraduate thesis?

I did my undergraduate thesis on a topic leaning towards my intended grad major, and want to know where to mention this in my app. Statement of purpose/ artists statement? CV? Both? Undergrad in architecture, the thesis was on trends in branding and their effects on cities (buildings, wayfinding, transport, the total package), and I am applying for an MFA in graphic design. I feel like I should mention my thesis somewhere, but am not sure where, since grad schools won’t necessarily expect an undergrad thesis.

Probably best to put it in the statement of purpose.

put it on your CV under academic activities

Agree - it goes in the CV. Consider using it (or a chapter) as your writing sample (even to schools where one is not required). You can include a cover sheet explaining its origin.

yeah, writing samples aren’t required for Fine Arts programs. One of my schools said they would accept them, so I’ll probably send it to them, but not anybody else, because they are so very clear in their portfolio guidelines and say that they will not look at anything else, especially print materials. Not one school I’m applying to wants print materials, they all want either slides or cd’s with image files. So I guess I’ll be adding an ‘academic activities’ section to my CV. Up til now it’s just been ‘awards/accomplishments’ that all my academic awards and scholarships went under.
