I was planning on attending Columbia undergrad for engineering, but now I am considering the University of Miami for undergrad engineering due to finances. Columbia is still a huge goal for me, so I am curious…
When applying to graduate programs (like Columbia’s for engineering),
do you have a significant advantage if you attended the school for undergrad?

From what I’ve heard, the grad school is completely separate from the undergrad. Besides, a high GPA anywhere should give you good chances. WHERE you do your undergrad is probably not as important as WHAT you do during those 4 years.
