First of all, the pdf of the perks that AP tests bring to you are listed here

http://sites.laverne.edu/articulation/files/2010/12/AP-Exam-Chart-04182011.pdf

I don’t quite understand the different terminology used in that chart, nor do I understand much of the other terminology used when speaking in terms of college credits.

Credits?

Semester hours? I’ve read someplaces that these are the same thing as “credits” but then why does ULV mention the “credit earned” and subsequently “semester hours” earned? Wouldn’t it be easier to just mention one, instead of using two different terms?

Course? Is this meaning a semester class or a year class?

Also, if passing an AP test fulfills a GE track 1 requirement such as ASEC or ASBH, etc. does this mean that I don’t have to take a class AT ALL in that category? I’m so confused haha, please help.
