Underwear

Jockey has changed their styling some. The elastic is different. I’m not happy with the change.

I tried GapBody for a few, and was pleased. I gave up on VS. Other brands I’ve like include Calvin Klein.

Hey, this is very important! First world problems you know.

H and I complain about this all the time. You just can’t get good underwear now. The quality of Fruit of the Loom, Jockey, etc. has dropped greatly from 10 years ago. I’m not that picky–100% cotton, granny panty–I just want the north end to stay up and the south ends to stay down.

This may sound weird but I buy all of mine from the Joe boxer section in kmart. They’re decently priced and very comfy!!!

Finding bottoms that fit, is nothing compared to finding bras that fit.
I had a breast reduction so I can buy bras off the rack or even wear those camisole tops from Costco, but my oldest has a heck of a time since she is about a 30F. She has even had to look at Polish websites ( but says it is pricey to make returns)
She also uses [Bratabase](http://www.bratabase.com/</a>)

^ Are you Sofia Vergara’s mom?

Good old Hanes or Fruit of the Loom from Walmart. Get the 6 pack.

My H likes Hanes for himself. A likes boxer shorts–solid or plaid, any brand. H has found fruit of the loom shrinks and it annoys him. Thought we were talking about ladies panties but seem to have meandered. D also has trouble finding her size bra. She has a smaller rib cage than is commonly carried as well. She is not as tough to fit as your D though.

Costco. I’ve been buying the ‘it se bit se’ line for 10 years. They are amazing and 100% cotton. Through google, I understand they are made by French Dressing.

Soma’s bamboo line is very soft and seems to hold up well. I was initially skeptical about the vanishing edge, but have come to like them a lot and don’t notice the “grippers” any more. Their bras are also very high quality. I put all of the underpants in the dryer, but definitely not the bras.

The Costco line nj2011mom mentions is pretty good, but not as good as Soma. And at least one pair I have, bought at roughly the same time as the Soma but not worn as frequently, has been unravelling and shedding threads.

I wear the jockey that are half way between bikini and old lady brief. I don’t think they are 100% cotton because of the stretching factor, but i am very selective and am quite satisfied.

I wear the 100% cotton Jockey hipsters. Also have some Hanes low rise briefs(fr. Target) that are pretty comfy. Recently bought a pair of Calida panties after reading rave reviews. Like them. They are very nice but kinda pricey. I got mine fr. Sierra Trading Post.

I hadnt seen the Soma before, they look very nice. I am always on the look out for bras that fasten in the front, I still miss the John Kloss line. They fit perfect. ( or was it that I was 17?)

Just found an ad from 1975- bras were $8.50, bikinis $4.50.

emeraldkity, are you talking about Glossies? I LOVED those. I don’t know who made them, but they were stretchy all over underwire with a front closure. Very comfortable, no seams, best bra ever.

Packmom, I like Calida…and that’s where I get them! I used to like the Hanes, but they changed them so I switched to VF, but I buy Calida whenever Sierra etc. has the style I like.
