Underwear

Got to love it! So I am in need of new panties. Boy they can be pricey! I like plain bikini mostly cotton underwear, nothing fancy.

I used to buy Victoria Secret cotton underwear but the quality got so bad I stopped. Then I bought Soma vanishing edge and did not like them. They have these plastic grippers and tmi I know but they made me sweat and they itched. Also they did not wash up very well. So I bought barely there cotton panties and really liked them but they don’t make that style anymore.

So wear do you buy, plain cotton underwear which stays put and doesn’t cost a fortune. You would think this easy but everything I’ve looked at seems to be microfiber.

Jockey makes a nice cotton bikini. Great quality. Not cheap.

Might like Costco. Seriously that’s where many of the females in our extended family buy their underwear. Macy’s also has some.

I’ve gotten Vanity Fair 95%cotton/5%spandex at Kohl’s. I usually buy them when they’re on sale (frequently) and I have Kohl’s bucks to spend.

I get some things at REI. Synthetic, but maybe what I think you are calling microfiber?, you can wash it in the sink & dry by morning. I get cotton things at Costco. Bikinis & bra camisoles.

I buy mine at TJMaxx (or Marshalls - they are the same).

I also used to buy at VS, but experienced the same decline in quality as you.

If you want * nice * cotton underwear
[Hanro Underwear, Garnet Hill](http://www.garnethill.com/womens-fashion/shop-by-brand/hanro/?pageSizeBottom=0&pageSize=0&redirect=y)

Good lord! $48 for a pair of granny pants!!

You and I don’t know what we are missing. One of the reviewers would wear them everyday if they had enough pairs.

I wish I knew of a good place to find mens underwear that I liked. H has a smallish waist (29) and usually the smallest size is 30 & even that is hard to find.
I suggested he shop where Jon Hamm does.
He won’t go for it.

Emerald,
That made me laugh! I am much more particular about DH underwear than he could ever be!

I laughed also. Ek that was great. I once bought H underwear at nordstrom, the store brand. Best underwear I ever bought for him.

I have bought Soma vanishing edge and I like them but they don’t last. The sales person told me not to put them in the dryer, which I don’t but they still come apart. Thing is that the edge truly does disappear when you wear them which is nice under fitted clothes.

I think that the vanishing edge on the Soma underwear feels weird also. I really don’t like them. They have another line which I like very much, but I have no idea what that line is called. Let me see if I can find out.

I like the Soma Travelers, high cut. Avoid the dryer, but otherwise, they hold up quite well.

Second Vanity Fair at Kohls. They last forever.

Try Penneys and Sears. But I prefer a band leg, etc - can’t see elastic around legs. Good for you for choosing cotton.

H also has trouble with being slim- different brands use different measurements for their smallest size boxers- some day need to get rid of the brand that runs bigger and buy more of the smaller waist ones. 28" waist, and past 60 I doubt he’ll ever gain enough weight to fit most men’s sizes.

Another Vanity Fair fan.

“Men’s small” is nominally for 28-30" waist – but with vanity sizing, and the general increase in waistlines over the years, finding properly fitting clothing for skinny or fit men can be difficult.

18 post on a thread about underwear? You just never know.
