I have just found out I was rejected from a school that I thought was a sure acceptance. The average GPA is about 2.9, my GPA is 3.58. I have a lot of extra-curricular activities (involved in the arts and athletics!). This school was SAT optional and I submitted great essays in place of the SATS, and also an art portfolio. My only problem was that I missed a lot of my junior year because of surgeries I had (which affected the course load I had for my junior year), and the college told me that is why they decided not accept me.

If this is one of my easier schools rejecting me, I hate to see what the future holds for future rejections. I only have one acceptance so far from a rolling admissions school, and I am not sure if that is a school I would be happy with. Do you think some schools will be more accepting of my circumstances (especially since I had interviews there)?

I already missed a whole year making me older, so doing another year at my boarding school like had been suggested didn’t seem like an option, but now I feel like I should have!

ps. sorry for the long post!
