Unfairness of being a chemical engineer

<p>The chemical engineering program is in the LAS college because it brings that college a lot of money; however, chemE students get the short end of the stick in terms of scholarships.
The number of scholarships and the amount given in the engineering college far exceeds that of the LAS college.

<p>We feel the same pain. For that very reason, my D is going to decline the admission offer. Too bad that it is otherwise a great school choice. Fortunately we have other more feasible options in the same caliber.</p>

<p>I wish schools in Illinois were better sponsored like the California universities. </p>
