My D did not do NY unifieds (we did Chicago) but as I recall from reading here, and stories from people who did go to NY- auditions were in a couple of locations. Even in Chicago- the unified schools are in the Palmer house, but I think a couple of schools had dance calls elsewhere. And of course there are “non unified” schools auditioning in the area too. My D had auditions for NYU, Boston, and Syracuse in other, nearby hotels. We chose not to stay at the Palmer b/c 1/2 of her auditions were not there- and I thought it might be nice to get away from some of the chaos/pressure.
