Unique Chancing Situation...

<p>Hey everyone! </p>

<p>I have a pretty unique situation with high school… I’m in high school, but I’ll have my A.A. in Pre-Law from a local Community College four months before I graduate from high school. I have done this by taking dual enrollment at that college since 10th grade. </p>

<p>Here are my high school stats: </p>

<p>1200 SAT (580M, 620R). I know, it sucks. But I’ve only taken it once and I’m taking it again in a couple of weeks. My goal is 1300. </p>

<p>4.4ish Weighted GPA.</p>

<p>I’m a senior and I’m homeschooled (except for the stuff at the college).</p>

<p>I’ve got tons of EC stuff, but here are the basics:
3 years varsity basketball (team captain this year).
2 years varsity cross country.
Varsity soccer this year (team captain).
*<em>If you’re wondering how I can play sports, homeschoolers can play for high schools in Florida… take Tim Tebow for example (QB for the U of Florida).
SGA President-second time this year.
SGA Treasurer.
SGA Vice President.
*</em>*This was through our homeschool group here.
I’ve won 3rd. place at a national mock trial competition.
I’ve also been elected “Governor” of Florida at a statewide Civics program.
I have 150 or so hours of community service.
I have held a part time job for the past seven months or so.</p>

<p>Also, I want to major in poli-sci, if that makes a difference.

<p>I’d say you’re in, even with the SAT. Although I suggest trying the ACT and seeing what you get. If you get 26+ you’ll be good for a bunch of the colleges. I’m assuming your Pre-law stuff will transfer, but I feel like the University would want you to major in something too (at least that’s how it works for Pre-Med and Pre-Pharm) And Poli Sci would be in CLA, so that SAT might be fine for it.</p>

<p>Also, you have some good ECs that I think will help you too. </p>

<p>Btw-if you do go to the U of MN, take a poli sci class with Prof. Freeman. He’s REALLY good.</p>

<p>Well actually, my SAT score is the equivalent of a 26 or 27 on the ACT. </p>

<p>I actually just got a letter from the University saying that they need my high school and college transcripts blah blah blah… and then they said that they have rolling admissions! I had no idea they had that… I thought I’d have to wait until like March ot something to find out. </p>

<p>So for anyone who knows, how long will it be before I know once my transcripts are in?</p>
