Unique Situation- help!

I am transferring ‘down’ from top 25 into Tier II school due to personal problems.

In the meantime, I have taken 3 courses at a state uni.
For midterm grades, I have an B+,C/B-, and D.

Two of my siblings attended the lower tier school to which I am applying. I also have a close relationship with the dean of minority affaits (family friend, advised my siblings).

My interview is tomorrow and im sure the issue of why my state uni. grades are sub-par will come up. I intend to tell the interviewer that I am being proactive about inceasing my grades and that they will be much better by the end of semester.

Can anyone please gve me their opinion on my chances of getting into the school?
Even with the connection, legacy, I cant possibly imagine they would accept me with the midterm grades I have on my non-matric courses.

help!

bump…any reply will help…

bump … …

If they ask about the grades, your best bet is to be straight with them. Are you making a sincere effort to improve those grades? If not, why not?

Good luck with the interview!

The interview went very well. The questions about my past performance and what happened at my other school were not mentioned.
Out of the 3 courses I am taking at public uni, I have A-, A- and a C+

bump

It’s great to hear that your interview went well!
