I can’t recommend this program highly enough. My D traveled with this group last summer (which, BTW, is a non-profit organization), and she will tell you it was life-changing. From the mission statement:

“ETGAR 36 is dedicated to developing the future Jewish political voice by taking Jewish teens on journeys throughout America, developing their identities, and empowering them to get involved politically and socially to change the world.”

This trip is in no way a typical “teen tour”–it’s for kids who are interested in the world of ideas, social activism, the environment, U.S. history–all through a Jewish prism. However, they still have lots of fun.

The website is etgar DOT org and there’s no puffery–it’s all true. Feel free to pm me if anyone is interested in learning more.
