Unique Transfer?

Hi, new poster.

I currently go to a pretty high ranked university (think top 25 on US News) and want to transfer to Boston U.

When I was a senior, deciding to pick which university to go to, I was faced with the decision of picking between a great selection of schools, including Boston U. In the end, the two colleges that I had to choose between was the institution I attend now, and BU.

Long story short, BU has always had a place in my heart. I love Boston, I’ve visited BU numerous times, and honestly it has been my favorite school. I visited Boston last week and met up with friends from Boston and I sincerely regret now, not picking BU.

The school I go to now is known for being aggresively difficult, ill just hint at the fact that it is a west coast school that has cutthroat competition for grades (think messing with lab tools so the curve will be messed up). along with that, I picked the wrong major. I picked something that I believed I was interested in, but not only did I find it difficult, I found it to be an arduous task to stay interested.

I want to go to SMG and specialize in finance because there is nothing like a business program for where I go to school. I currently have a 3.2 at a well respected school, but I realize that it may be a long shot for me. I have a high sat score, and a very high gpa from high school, and was wondering if that fact, and the fact I was accepted to SMG before will play any factor in my admission for this upcoming September. also, will the fact that I go to a high ranked school make any difference in my admission to a school?
