To me, this has been an odd discussion. Some of us think this is a pointless policy, while others seem (to me, anyway) to defend the policy not on the grounds that it makes sense, but that United can impose this policy if it wants to. For what it’s worth, I, personally would not care one bit if nonrev passengers were subject to the exact same clothing standards as other passengers.
