United World Colleges

From the US and Canada, you’re supposed to come to the UWC during what would have been your senior year of high school, so you apply the January of your junior year. Of course, you can try applying in your sophomore year, but it’s really difficult to get in that way. I think they accept about 1 sophomore every other year.
I don’t know how, but at least here, from the US and Canada, people usually end up being a little young for their grade back home, around 16-17 when they come. But once you get here, your age really doesn’t matter. Just the other night people came to some guy’s b-day and were like, “wow…you’re only turning 17?”
