Here is what I wrote…

This past summer I read the novel Someday This Pain Will be Useful to You by Peter Cameron. This novel had a story that captivated me as I could relate to the main character, James Sveck on so many levels. James is an eighteen year old, and the story describes the events of his life in the summer before college. James Sveck represents most teenagers who are about to enter the world after high school. He is confused, frustrated, aggravated, and annoyed with the world around him. Nothing is making sense to him; society seems to conforming for him to join into. As I read his story, I was reminded of how much we were similar. We both are different from others, we both have these weird annoyances with society; we share the annoyance of people eating near us, we both find it repulsive.
But why would I want to share a book about an awkward teenager who is struggling with himself everyday? Well, James represents all of us. All people who are entering the world. We are all confused. We all share some frustration and annoyances with the world, we all have a feeling that we want to change things. I found hope and patience after reading his story. It may have been fiction, but James connected on me on a level that I have never connected with anyone before. By sharing this novel with my classmates, I think that they too will find something useful out of this book.

Can someone read that and tell me what is wrong about it, what I can improve upon, is this a worthwhile book to write about?
