Univ. of Pacific Powell Scholarship Semi-Finalists?

I know it’s a 0.00001% chance I’ll find people here who are applying to this school AND got the semi-finalist e-mail, but it doesn’t hurt does it?

But yeah, if you happen to be that 0.00001% person, post please? It seems like I’m the only person in my school who got the notification and I don’t know which of the days to pick or what of the 3 activities most the people are doing (classes/lunch/interview)?

Crystal, my daughter is going to UOP in the fall and received a merit scholarship but didn’t apply for the Powell. Good luck to you. I’m sure anything you pick will work out just fine.

Haha wow, thank you. =] It’s glad to know there are still people here applying to UOP even with the overwhelming Ivy-based community here on CC.

My son applied to Pacific and was offered a nice scholarship, but he had to withdraw his application because he got into his ED college. It’s a very appealing school. I’m going to have S2 consider it as well. Good luck with the scholarship.

I qualified as a semi-finalist for the Powell scholarship and I am nervous about the interview. Do you have any advice?

You may not have noted that all the prior posts were in 2009.

No, I did, but no harm in asking.

what did you write about in your scholars application essay? What example of leadership did you write about?

thanks.
