Univ Penn Interviews - What Percentage Get Interview?

Anyone know the stats on the interviews at Penn? What percentage of the students that appliced had an interview last year?

If you had a Penn interview, could you say when/city/state?

bump…10 char

Whether or not you get an interview usually depends more on availability/location…

I’m in a pretty big city, most of the colleges seem to have alumni here. Did you get one?

i’ve gotten an interview from every ivy that i had applied to…except for dartmouth because i live there. i think ppl from my school generally get a lot of interviews because we have lots of alums.

It depends entirely on what city you live in, and how available the alumni are there to help interview. The Seattle interview coordinator just reached out to a bunch of us because they got a higher than usual number of applicants from the region this year, and they need more alumni to help out at the last minute. I know we’re doing a bunch on all the Saturdays in February.

^ That’s good news for me, I’m near the Seattle region (well, minus the whole more-applicants-from-here part). Hopefully I can get one.

Anyone else, get Penn interviews? What city/state are you located? Wonder what percentage of accepted students last year had interviews?

we’re in los angeles. D submitted in december. still no word of an interview.

Any other cities get interviews?

We’re in Los Angeles. S submitted application on Dec. 29. His interview is this Wednesday.

His HS (graduating class of around 500) has had 2-3 acceptances to Penn the last several years.

I have not been contacted for an interview yet.

DS has an interview Wednesday evening at a local coffee shop.
Kind of a surprise as we see Penn as a reach for him.
We’re SF Bay Area.

Any Florida interviews?

If other kids in my school were contacted for an interview and I wasn’t, does this mean anything? I’m not particularly concerned I just found it to be a bit odd.

i don’t think the interview matters that much, considering a friend of mine got one after she was accepted

gc414: I think it means whoever was assigned to contact you is lazy, or your spam filter blocked their email.

Last night DS interviewed with an alum at a local coffee shop. He says it went very well and lasted a little over an hour.

For the 3rd time i am posting this, i called UPenn and the guy said only about 50% get interviews. That was a recent call too

Orange County, California - No interview

no interview in OC for me as well, i’m surprised though, i thought oc would have a lot of alumni. maybe they just haven’t gotten to us all yet :)
