Good Morning,

I am planning to transfer from my current university, at which I am majoring in Biomedical engineering to a Canadian university for Materials engineering. The reason I chose materials is because no university in Canada, except Ryerson, offers an undergrad BME program and materials was my second choice major. I am currently a first year so I would be entering my second year of studies as a transfer student. I would like some advice on which universities to apply to for Materials. I looked at this site [Engineers Canada](http://www.engineerscanada.ca/e/index.cfm) for a list of accredited Materials programs. However, all of the universities with accredited programs are the top universities in Canada (McGill, UofT, UBC, UofA, Dalhousie , McMaster). I am a good student, but I highly doubt that I could get into any two of these universities. University of Alberta’s program appeals the most to me so far because of the Biomedical track available within the Materials Engineering undergrad degree. Are these really all the universities that offer Materials engineering degrees? I really need to find a good safety school, I was admitted to University of Victoria for this 2011 Fall, but UVic’s engineering department only has the big programs (MechE, CivE, ChemE). My backup plan is to major in biology/biochem and business then go to grad school for engineering, but I would really like to major in Materials now. If any of you know of good safety schools that someone with a B or better average could easily get into that offer Materials Eng, I would really appreciate if they let me know. Thank you so much for any help!
