Universities in English

In the past couple of years numerous programs have been created across the world that chose to develop teaching in English such as in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. These programs are at a much less cost than US universities. For example an MBA at Fudan university in China cost around $30,000 instead of an MBA at Harvard at $180,000. A Master degree for the top university in Europe Ecole Normale Superieure costs as low as EUR 500 in English. Does anyone knows how this might affect the demand for US universities?

Moving to, and living in, a foreign country for college is not really an option for many Americans. The sticker price might be lower, but the cost of visas, travel, living expenses, etc. can add up much higher. Finding work in a foreign country is not easy. Moreover, only a select number of schools are eligible for federal loans, and assistantships/fellowships for graduate study may be restricted to resident students.
