Universities with high acceptance rate&meet 100% financial need of int. students

I need to find liberal arts colleges with biology programs. They should have an acceptance rate of around 40 - 70% and meet the 100% financial need of international students. My SAT scores are around 600 in each section.

I don’t think any schools here in the US have high acceptance rates and meet 100% of need for int’ls. If there were such schools, they would be financial safety schools for everyone. And, there aren’t any.

I don’t think think there are any such schools (with high acceptance rates) that meet 100% of need for domestic students, either.

If you are a guy, check out Wabash College. Great med school acceptance rate, and have been increasing their international population for several years. Here is their financial page for international students. They are not as generous with international as domestic, but it is worth a shot to explore.

unfortunately, no such thing.

Exactly, there’s unfortunately no such place.

If there were such a school, everybody would be applying! Then the acceptance rate would certainly plummet!

“No one goes there anymore, it is too crowded.”

i’m female

my mom can pay around $9000 per year

No such place.

Give us grades and test scores: Perhaps we can suggest some possibilities where you have a chance of being accepted, that might also be generous.

What are your stats? Maybe there’s a school that will give you lots of merit (however, it won’t be highly ranked).

What is your major?

do you understand that if there were colleges that were easy to get into and met 100% of need, then all int’l students would apply there and then they would no longer be easy to get into?

too late to edit…

I see your stats and you’re a bio major.

I don’t know of any school that would work. Even a domestic student would have a hard time getting into a school that meets need with about 1800 SAT.

[Need-blind admission - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Need-blind admission - Wikipedia)

According to the above Wikipedia page, only 7 schools are full need for internationals, and they are all highly selective.

There are a number more which are full need for domestic applicants. Just browsing the list, I think some of the less selective schools on the list are: Beloit, Knox, Lawrence, and U. Richmond.

Knox asks internationals to pay at least 23k, Lawrence asks to pay at least 18k and for Richmond, the deadlines for all the scholarships have passed!

There are some less selective LACs which ask you to pay around 10k/year. I guess you can afford them. And remember, every school is highly selective when its the case of international admissions!!!

->Sewanee-University of the South(Apply on time-I think before Feb 1, And you can get a full scholarship)
->DePauw University-If you have great academics, you’ll have to pay 10k only!
->St. Olaf College-Paying around 10k can increase your chances. If you are admitted, in most of the cases your need will be met!!
-> Wheaton Mass.->Apply!!! Tries to meet the need of almost every international!
->Hobart and William Smith->Highly qualified international students get a full tuition scholarship, which leaves you with 10k-12k to pay
->Thomas Aquinas College->Has got great aid!
->Randolph College(Previously Randolph-Macon Women’s College)->Women friendly! Will give a lot of aid!! Really easy to get in…
->Wittenberg University->Gives full tuition scholarship, but will have to pay room+board
->Hampshire College->Gives full tuition scholarship, will ask to pay at least 13k, out of that 13k-will provide on campus job of 3k! So that leaves you with 10k!! Hampshire is awesome school…:)

P.S. I’m not sure about the OP’s stats, I was just suggesting some schools which provide aid to internationals.
:)

Good luck!

The OP has about an 1800 SAT…which is not high enough for big merit at most of those listed schools.

It’s almost impossible for an int’l who can only pay about $9k per year unless he/she has super stats and can get into an ivy. Some of that $9k will have to go towards int’l travel and personal expenses and insurance. That only leaves a few thousand to go towards direct school costs.

Nothing will totally meet your description. To give great need based FA, a school needs to have a lot of money. If a school has a lot of money, it can offer a great experience for students and have high yield and lots of applicants. Such a school will necessarily have a low acceptance rate.

Thanks! :)

I have already applied to colleges this year. Maybe I’ll try next year if I dont get in this year.

I dont this I have selected my colleges that well though :(

Sorry this thread is old.

But, going through scholarships of my own schools, University of San Diego meets up to full tuition for students who can contribute to their “diversity.” Getting in as an international is difficult, but if you really show off your background in your essay, it might meet your needs. Their deadline for internationals is Jan 15th, though, so try next year if things don’t pan out well this year.
