Hello! I’m the parent of a freshman prenursing student who wants to study abroad next year in the UK. I’m helping my daughter navigate and choose a program to apply to. Her university offers options at the two colleges listed. Can anyone please help that has either had a child attend one of the two or attended themselves? She plans on studying in the medical area so she doesn’t get off track in her program, but the module system is a bit confusing. Any advise is welcomed!! Thank you.
I have a daughter currently spending her second of two semesters in Edinburgh. She is a junior and therefore has more courses available to her, and is loving her medical microbiology course. Overall, a good experience. Loves the city (invest in a good pair of walking shoes/boots.) Three courses generally make up a full semester load. On the uni website, there is a list of available study abroad courses. If you look at the advanced search, you can choose the credit level (the school year of the typical student.) My daughter had to do some rearranging of her schedule to get her courses settled, but I think that has as much to do with her interests as course availability. I would check the study abroad site for classes available because some courses are restricted from study abroad students.
