I received admit from the University of Southern California for masters in Computer Engineering and from the University of Waterloo for MENG in electrical and computer department, I am confused between the two. Can anyone please help me with it? My top most priority is the job and I am looking forward to working in the hardware field.
Are you Canadian or American? Your ability to get a job will depend more on your status in the country than in the university. Waterloo CE bachelors can easily get a job. It is much easier to get a work visa and permanent residency in Canada than it is in the US.
I am an international student, Indian to be specific. I want to know where I have more probability to get a decent pay job in hardware.
You need to communicate directly with the Career Center at each university, and ask them about job placement for international graduates in your field. In the past, Canada has had much friendlier work permission policies. Frankly, given the current US government’s antipathy toward immigrant workers, I would be very hard pressed to recommend that you study in the US.
