University Hall

Anyone else in Uhall this year?

My S just found out he’s in U Hall. The weird thing is that it wasn’t in his top choices… right now he kind of has a WTeFF attitude.

Daughter wanted as Rubin as first choice and got second choice Founders. Sort of mysterious how the whole process works.

I believe this was my fifth choice (out of 6!) and I turned everything in on time too. Really interesting how this works…but anyone know anything about U-Hall? I’ve heard there’s a CVS nearby, and Union Square is nice. Downside is that the elevator stops on every floor and it can take a while to get down in the mornings. At least that’s what I’ve heard. Anyone else heard anything pros/cons?

U-Hall used to an upper class dorm…which means it’s better than most the other freshman ones. Great burger studio downstairs to use meal swipes at (arguably the best-tasting food amongst NYU dining, but don’t go their too much if you’re watching your weight). Also a Dunkin Donuts in the building. Also one of two freshman dorms with kitchens in each suite. Union Square location is nice, but it’s not as close to campus as Rubin, Hayden, Weinstein, Goddard.

U-Hall is amazing…Idk why it’s so unpopular this year. You’re literally next to Palladium and you have your own Kitchen. Walk is not too bad, slightly worse than Founders and comparable to 3N. It would be my first choice next to Palladium and I’m an upperclassman.

I’m going to be in uhall next year. Can someone living there now tell what its like?

Is it a dresser for each person but one closet for all 4?

It would also be nice to see some pictures of the rooms. Thanks! :)
