Do we officially accept/decline the University Honors invitation at AARO? A few months ago I got the invitation and it told me to go online and submit a form to reserve a space in the program. If I decided that I don’t want to do the program anymore, can I decline it at AARO? I looked at the page on SMU’s website for AARO and it mentions something about the invitation for the honors program but it was kind of vague. I don’t really want to do the honors program anymore, because I am not interested in any of the types of classes that are part of the program. I realize that the types of classes are the same as the ones in the University Curriculum, but I will be able to receive credit for most of the UC courses from my AP exams. It appears that I cannot use my AP credit on the honors classes because they’re different and higher level.

When I went to the forum meeting for the Honors Program they made it sound like you could change your mind at AARO. Personally though I would recommend emailing them before then, so they can free up your spot if need be.
