University of Alberta or University of Waterloo????

I’m an Australian student who is looking at doing an exchange for 6 months to one of these two universities.
They both seem good and I’m sure I’d love both but just a couple of questions.

Are they both good for studying social science type courses? and also importantly, do they have a good student life? Like would I live on campus for them? Which would be the best place to stay at both? Do the students there party and have an awesome time and stuff like that or are they more quiet places? I want somewhere where I can have an awesome student life and meet new people and have lots of fun while I’m studying.

Thanks lots!

There isn’t many people on here who know about Canadian schools. There’s a Waterloo forum but it’s not active

I would try searching around on this forum. Use the search tool or ask the same question in that forum.

Waterloo is known more for its STEM-based courses. I don’t think that they’re very strong anywhere else.

I’m not sure about Alberta, since I didn’t apply. Maybe you can check college rankings to see how they stack up?
