My D was accepted to the Honors College as well. Looking forward to our campus visit in January and planning to squeeze in the Honors College information session while we are there.
accepted a few days ago into the honors college! i’m an instate applicant, 4.3w gpa, 3.9uw, 33 act, poli-sci major, wildcat distinction award
2.83 /4 gpa, 1160 superscore, got in like 3 days after i submitted application
3.33/4GPA, 1310 SAT, Pre-Pharmacy, 24k Scholarship (Non-Resident)
Congrats! Curious to know which scholarship this is, as these stats, according to their chart, would land you at $15,000/yr. Is this an annual amount or total 4 year amount?
@sapmom - just curious, is University of Arizona still on your daughter’s list of possibilities? We toured the Honors College at UA and it was impressive but then again all the honors colleges my D has toured have been impressive.
Very much so! It’s at the top of her list, although she was just offered a full ride at another school yesterday. Lots to think about, still!

Waiting for reply.
My daughter applied to biology major for under graduate in honors college. expecting decision on 2nd mar 2020. She already got admission in UoA regular course already.
We haven’t received any email so far for honor’s decision. Did any one receive honors college decision today ?
I received the honors college deceision today. Denied:(
In the honors application status page on my application portal, it mentioned that my status had been updated today (3/2/20), however, it didn’t mention what the update was. Then I checked my @email.arizona.edu and it was in my in-box.
Hi drdexter, Sorry to hear about that. We checked application portal and arizona.edu a/c and there was no status update. We will call UoA tomorrow to find out about the decision.
Thank you! Good luck, I hope you were accepted!
Hi, We also did not receive any notification from the honors college on March 2nd. We called the college today and left a message.
Did anyone get accepted but their official transcripts not sent in? I got rejected and I’m trying to figure out if it was just because my counselor didn’t send the transcript
Hi everyone,
So I’m currently deciding between the University of Arizona and the University of Pittsburgh for neuroscience this upcoming fall. I like UPitt because it has more opportunities for premed research, but I would be paying around 22K for tuition(my parents are covering housing and I got a 10K merit scholarship). I also like UofA because it’s close to home and the Mayo Clinic hospital and I get in-state tuition and a 16K scholarship, so I would not be paying anything for my undergrad studies. (I should add that no matter what school I go to, my parents are covering my housing fees and I am covering tuition fees.) I hope to become a psychiatrist in the future, so saving money for med school is something I’m considering now when choosing a school. I like both schools equally and I’m still unable to choose one after much consideration, so if anyone has some advice that would be greatly appreciated!
In your other post you said you are deciding between Arizona and UCLA, here you say it’s Pitt. Either way, for $22k less this is a no-brainer.
