<p>I got accepted to UCLA yesterday but i’m waiting to do my SIR until I hear from Berkeley. I read my acceptance letter in organic chem class and had to leave to cry in joy and call family. I was so happy. UCLA was my first choice, but after looking at renting rooms, berkeley is a much cheaper area to live… much cheaper. Cal is ranked higher and will be cheaper; however, I just love LA. Maybe Cal will reject me to make the decision easier… because if I get in it’ll be hard to choose.</p>

<p>according to the admissions blog they mail them the day that you are accepted, so if you’ve already been accepted then the letter is on its way!</p>

<p>Bringing a car can be nice, as it will give you the opportunity to drive to a lot of fun places nearby. However, it is expensive, and parking is not always guaranteed.</p>
