University of California Transfer Students Fall 2007 OFFICIAL THREAD!!!

I’m thinking either Applied Mathematics or Statistics.

that’s cool. Good luck.

I am thinking of adding a public health minor.

Is there any limit to how many minors one can have? Not saying I want another one but I am just curious.

dhl3, good luck! I’m planning on double-majoring (International Studies and Political Science) at UCSD and if all goes as planned, I can graduate within two years (I have a lot of AP credits). I’m taking four classes during the summer, but the thing with summer classes is that even though you can get financial aid, it’s really expensive :T

mucho thanks, and same to you dhl! (:

hmm if you take courses at a ccc over the summer, you can transfer those credits to ucla, right? im assuming you can take classes toward the non-major requirements at a cc (like the foreign language requirement). im sorry, clearly im not at all familiar with the ccc system, as i havent taken classes at one since hs, haha.

grrrr, that’s the one thing i really dont like is that darn foreign language requirement! i thought i was done with french for goooood, after my 3rd year of that crap in hs!!!

this guy from my high school that goes to the same CC as me, we had english 101 together.

this year he told me he goes to UCLA and GCC at the same time(for 2nd year of undergrad). I could not believe him. Remembering he was the laziest motherF back in high school and my english 101 class. Not to mention, he writing did suck, how the hell did he get into UCLA? I wondered.

Then yesterday, after I got my ucla.edu email. I found him on facebook. Without a ucla email nor any UCLA friends. What a hoax!

I sent him a message “Hey! I got into UCLA, I guess I’ll be seeing you next year?”

He replied “Hey, how are you? Laters”

HAHA! What a liar. Why do people lie about the school they go to? Seriously. Eventually, someone finds out.

actually…ive taken only three classes almost every quarter that ive been at my uc and im right on track!!

its those ap’s that really help

4.0 and tap (one of my my friends) denied for business econ

^missing prereqs??

negative…

He pretty much just won the lottery…

…for bad news that is.

WTH…people with 3.2’s are getting in…that is just wrong. He should call and ask why he was denied.

for bizecon? with tap? or for other majors

for bizecon with tap

UCSB Bus Econ Majors…

Did anyone apply for the with accounting emphasis?

If so, does it show up as you accepted major, or does it just say Bus Econ?

I talked to a girl in our school’s TAP program who got rejected. Pshyc major 3.8 missing one pre-req.

UCLA does not appear to mess around with missing pre-reqs for impacted majors.

dang…ucla should be called the"pre-req nazis"

UCLA receives the most applications in the nation, right? I think I’ve read that somewhere.

yup that is correct, Yams.
It is the only school with th number of applicants exceeding 50,000.

I should say, though, that if NYU was a public university, they’d be receiveing just as many applications, if not more.

Oh man I just realized I’m missing a UCLA pre-req that my school doesnt offer…and I didn’t say that anywhere on my app. Do the admissions officers know that a school doesnt offer a pre-req or do they rely on the applicant to tell them?

My grandfather was all happy and proud that I got into UCI. But when I told him I got into UCLA and UCSD he never bothered to say anything like “congrats” or something like that.

Just because his daughter got rejected from UCI, he acts as if UCI is the hardest school to get in the nation.

Clearly, he doesn’t know much about national college rankings. He’s probably going to be angry that I chose UCLA, I haven’t told him yet but I sense a lot of bickering, very soon…
