I bet the pre-req issue is used to screen out students with poor reading comp. or inability to follow directions. This little rule is usually found squeezed in a middle of a paragraph with tiny font.

One would think something this important would be in bold, super sized font or something.

I was missing a pre-req my school didn’t offer too. None of the other CCs even offer it, the counselour said it is okay because that means they want you to take it at UCLA.

BUT, the counselour told me last year. If your CC doesn’t offer a course, but you drive all the way to another CC just to take that course. They said they take that highly into consideration too.

That’s REALLY good news!!! If you were rejected, they wouldn’t have bothered to e-mail you. If you have good grades, i’d even consider it a pre-acceptance.

oh thank God. my heart is beating so fast right now, have no idea. I thought it was bad news… thanks guys. zemookmook, i’ll cross my fingers for you!!

all schools(CCC) have a bus that take you to STOMP, you should check out your transfer center.

It’s basically a big event for CCC transfer students, where you go to UCLA and meet department reps, admissions rep, housing and all that stuff. Basically you’ll learn everything there in one day, if you have a lot of questions. I believe a continental breakfast will be served. There are also presentations about research opportunities, how to succesfully transfer to UCLA and etc.

I am surprised many of you have never heard of it!

Go! I went last year and it was very very helpful.
