<p>How competitive is Cambridge, in comparison to the US schools?</p>
<p>Oxbridge and other top British schools compare in competitiveness to top American schools. I’m applying to LSE and Oxford right now, and they want a minimum of a 2:1 (3.6+) honours degree. The only difference is that unlike most top American schools in political science, a lot of the British schools actually set up cut-offs. Few PhD programs in poli sci in the States do so.</p>
