We stayed in Louisville I think it was called. Ate at an Italian place that had an area covering that made it seem like you had private dining. Each table had one.

We self toured campus - very nice and ate at the Dushanbe Teahouse prior. We self toured DU in AM.

Very nice school - CU.

  • When did you visit? Columbus Day weekend… Friday for a few hours while on a layover ..
coupled CU with a trip to UARK.

  • Where did you stay? Would you recommend it? Flew into Denver and secured a rental car (off airport via shuttle ~:20) before hand.

  • Where did you eat? Did you try any local specialties?
Pearl Street: :10 drive from campus. lovely plaza with open courtyard for walking and shopping and eating.

  • How did you get there? What’s the best transportation mean to get to-from the campus?
Rental car : Thrifty: campus is about an hour west of Denver airport.

  • What was the campus vibe? active, not too crowded… it was the Friday before a home SAT FB game, so there was a definite buzz in the air… setting up for the festivities and food booths , etc.

  • What did you think of the dorms? I didn’t go inside.. my son did visit a friend from a summer trip who is attending…he did go take a look at the rooms..

  • What are some must-see things in or around campus? Didn’t have time, but Frontrange and gravel biking trails would attract me if I could spend a day or two there.

  • How were the school facilities? seemed modern… we only walked into Leeds Business school.
student snack and cafe inside, lots of space to study and relax..

  • Did you like it more or less than you thought you would? Why? Yes, smaller than I expected.
we walked around the FB field and “quad” area.

  • Did anything surprise you? no, it was a quick strike mission… didn’t get to Denver.. next time maybe.
