University of Colorado Boulder Early Action Class of 2030 Official Thread

I was just at my son’s school. His counselor said CU notified them decisions would be coming this week.

I’m hoping it’ll be this afternoon. I checked the CC threads for the last two years and they were released on Wednesday’s! Today would be the day if past history is an indicator.

Hopeful!

Reddit post from a couple of years back said email was sent around 5pm mountain time.

Did anyone get a financial aid email recently. On another post I heard that was a sign of admission and admissions decisions occurinc

Should be around 6:45 ET tonight

A few weeks back, I’d forgotten about that. I just checked, one late November and one early December for two different virtual sessions. Sent to myself, spouse and child. Text below, not sure if this is the one you’re referring to?

The Office of Financial Aid is hosting a virtual Applying for Financial Aid event next week on Tuesday, December 2 from 6–7 p.m. (Mountain Time).

Students and families are welcome to join for an overview of applying for financial aid at CU Boulder, including types of aid available, timeline and what to expect for cost. A brief Q&A session will follow.

Honestly I’m not too sure but I just saw that last year it was a sign of admission

Is this speculation or is it actually coming out at 6:45?

I don’t see that we received the financial aid email, but we did receive an email on applying for scholarships. My daughter also received a postcard yesterday about applying to the Leeds Scholars Program.

Well… if that’s not a sign then I don’t know what is?!

Was the scholarships email this one?

I read them fast and thought it was two of the same email for different sessions, but looking again one was fin aid and one was scholarships.

CU Boulder’s Office of Scholarship Services is hosting a virtual Applying for Scholarships event next week on Tuesday, December 9 from 6-7 p.m. (Mountain Time).

Students and families are welcome to listen in and get an overview on completing the CU Boulder Scholarship Application, which is open now! A brief Q&A session will follow.

:folded_hands: I hope. My daughter has been deferred at a lot of places and could use a nice morale booster.

Yes, that was the email.

I also heard something similar that people last year lurking in the portal noticed the decision letter an hour or so before the emails went out to check the portal.

It’s going to be very anticlimactic if it doesn’t come out today…

Looks like things are changing on the portal. I’m seeing a box with the option to send test scores that I swear wasn’t there until a moment ago, unless I’m losing it which is very possible! The box gives the option to opt out of sending scores, which I’m hoping this doesn’t mean my daughter’s been bumped to RD with a deferral.

I saw that too and I also think it’s new but don’t quote me on it

my daughter has it too and it is new.

Same here, that button is new and my student did not apply test optional.

When I click it it shows me my SAT score I submitted and if I want to opt out or add another one
